One Hundred Eighteenth Street Elementary is in South Los Angeles, between the Athens and Willowbrook districts. It is south of the 105 freeway and east of the 110 freeway, between Main and San Pedro Street. The main entrance to the school is on 118th Street.

     The school is within walking distance of the Avalon and Harbor/I-105 Green Line stations. Many MTA bus lines provide transit access to the school, including the Harbor Transitway, Broadway and Avalon buses, as well as the 207 and 48. Street parking near the school should be available on weekends.
